perl-xml-simple cannot install

i was trying to makepkg the icon-naming-utils, but i get this (please look at the bold text):

Do you have fakeroot installed? If not, install it.

BTW, perl-xml-simple installs fine here.

This is the first complaint I've gotten for xml-simple. But a new package will be in community shortly.

Do you have fakeroot installed? If not, install it.

BTW, perl-xml-simple installs fine here.

Yes, i have fakeroot, i even reinstalled just now to be sure, but i still get the message.

too install anything you need to be root.
