Failure to unlock on gdm.

After the screen locks and fades to black, attempting to unlock my active session fails. No error message.

But if I select login as a another user, and then "Not listed?", I can type my username and password to access my active session.

Same error occurs after a reboot but selecting GNOME wayland will let me in.

Is this a known error? How fix?

Re: Failure to unlock on gdm.

This is nearly the same problem I've encountered.... I didn't realize you can manually enter the username and pass to get back to the session.  Does doing that allow access to GNOME without selecting the Wayland option after reboot for you?

Re: Failure to unlock on gdm.

After a reboot I have to select wayland, After it locks I don't select anything other than the other user/not listed bit.

I guess for me, being that there aren't any real issues with security or whatever if I step away for a moment, I really should just disable the lock.
I saw on some news post here something about trying to disable something something wayland or setting some config to "no" and I did that to avoid whatever issue was being discussed. Not sure if that had anything to do with it.
(I just can't help lying to myself that stuff like this never happened on Gentoo.)

Re: Failure to unlock on gdm.

If mine locks, I can't get back in.  As soon as I click on the clock and lock background, the lockscreen starts the lift-up animation that reveals user selection, but freezes halfway up and requires a reboot...

I disabled the lock for now too, but I'd really like to use regular GNOME, not the Wayland variety, as not everything is compatible now for me.   Let me know if you figure out anything that could change this!

This is the config that I enabled ( I think ). I'll have to verify when I get home and test a few things out.

Because, it seems to work at initial login if I manually select wayland but not the default session.
