Is there any chance of adding the Keypress template to the Wiki?
Offline
On ArchWiki, Template:Keypress has been deprecated in favour of Template:ic because it used exactly the same formatting. As for the possibility of adapting Wikipedia's Template:Keypress, that's not possible because it relies on parser functions and lua modules, which are not available on ArchWiki.

Why make things complicated?
Mods are just community members who have the occasionally necessary option to move threads around and edit posts. -- Trilby

Also many HTML entities are easy to remember http://dev.w3.org/html5/html-author/charref
For example:
↑ ↓ ← →
Once upon a time the ArchWiki's Template:Keypress was indeed styled like Wikipedia's (but still without the "smart" features). It was the time when there was also a specific template for filenames, one for kernel parameters, one for file content, 3 or 4 for terminal input/output, one for the cute little blinking underscore that represented a text input cursor etc... And they all looked different from each other, and of course nobody was using them consistently, often even defaulting to bold or italics instead... You can understand why it was first styled like the normal code template, and then finally deprecated
