Exactly as subject says.
I lost my internet, and pc has been acting odd ever since.
A buddy walked me through some ideas, but now it just hangs after usb check on boot.
Was on network, then graphical interface, now here.
I'd like to find a solution that doesnt require a full reformat, as i have no internet right now so i cant redownload my games and such.

Errors? Logs? What stage does it "hang" at? Is this (another) Gnome/GDM issue? If so, search the boards.

Hey Jason, I'm friend OP mentioned. He's new to Arch, and Linux in general, I'm not... and I've got no idea what is going on with his system. I'm going to be popping in and out of this thread since he can only reply off his phone since they're without internet for the moment.
A few days ago they lost internet-- not his machine, their house. At the same time, maybe related maybe not, his Arch box started stalling during boot. A couple units were shown as failing during boot, namely dhcpcd and razerd, disabling those did nothing to fix the problem. There's no -obvious- problems. There's nothing remarkable about his computer booting... other than the fact it never completes. Systemd gives its output of failed / succeeded units, and then it just sits there forever. We even let it sit for the six minutes that systemd is supposed to use as its 'max timeout' and it still just sat there.
Booting into run level 3 gets us to a console login, but starting graphical.target just nets us a blinking cursor on a black screen.
The tail end of xorg.0.log just says
"xf86CloseConsole: KDSETMODE FAILED input/output error"
"xf86CloseConsole: VT_GETMODE FAILED input/output error"
"xf86CloseConsole: VT_ACTIVATE FAILED input/output error"
He's using the Nvidia closed source driver if that helps at all

Is this a GDM/Gnome setup? As I mentioned, there are known issues (and workarounds) with this setup.
The journal is where you need to look for definitive answers about what, exactly, is failing.

The issue turned out to be GDM. Switching to LightDM solved the issue.
