Where to upload tarball?

Hi,

There is a 'relevation' application, which was available to download few weeks ago but the upstream website is currently not accessible: http://p.outlyer.net/relevation/.

I have prepared PKGBUILD for the application, but the source cannot be downloaded from upstream anymore, but I have it copied locally. Now, is there a place where I upload the tarball to let it be downloaded easily during the build process or  I need to host it by myself?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Where to upload tarball?

Host it yourself or mirror it on github or where-ever you want so long as it's public (if you intend to post to the AUR).

Re: Where to upload tarball?

If putting on github or other source code hosting, create a repo (named for example "outlyer-relevation-mirror" or something like that) for the source code. Don't just place tar there and use it as a free file hosting. Let other people fork the project, possibly extending lifetime of the software.

Note: its page at freecode.com is still available. You may wish to include it as the URL until, if ever, the main website gets back to life.

@mpan, good point, thank you.

Anyway, I've just got reply from the author and the server is currently up and running again.
