LDAC codec from Sony

A bit obscure, no doubt, but does anyone have any idea if there is any chance of this coming to linux? Or is it a closed, Sony-only, doomed to failure technology like so many great ideas from Sony?

Wow. What an answer.....no comments.

Anyhow. Yes, there are codecs for LDAC, AptX, Aptx-HD and AAC. All you need for them to work is to install from the AUR the package pulseaudio-modules-bt-git and they will work straight away.

On pavucontrol, go to the tab Configuration and there you'll have the highest one your headphones support now available. Mines happen to be Sony too, the noise cancelling WH-1000-XM2 (oir something like that) and the quality after the upgrade to better codecs was night and day compared to before.
