hibernate issue - screen turns off then on again before hibernating

Hello guys, as from the title (not a great issue at all, but still fastidious), when I hit

systemctl hibernate

the system starts hibernating, the screen turns off for less than a second, then it gets on again for about two/three seconds and then the system finally hibernates.

Does someone know whether this is a bug or just something that I haven't fixed?
