powersave: problem starting acpid when restoring

hi
i decided to try suspend to ram on my laptop. i installed powersave and run powersave -u .... and everything seemed to work ok.

but when restoring, there is a line at the end of suspend2ram.log saying:
starting acpid - BUSY
acpid: can't open /proc/acpi/event: Device or resource busy
FAILED

another problem is that sound is not working after resume

can anyone say where the problem could be? where should i look to find what's wrong?

thanks for any help (i'm a bit lost in all the suspending thing since it didn't work in suse which i used before arch)
