Problems with a dancemat

Hi,

I am having issues getting a FutureMax Dancemat to work.

It's being connected via USB and reports itself as PS3 Controller:

Bus 003 Device 009: ID 054c:0268 Sony Corp. Batoh Device / PlayStation 3 Controller

dmesg:

input: FutureMax Dance Mat as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:14.0/usb3/3-2/3-2.1/3-2.1:1.0/0003:054C:0268.0001/input/input16
[44792.434186] sony 0003:054C:0268.0001: input,hiddev0,hidraw0: USB HID v1.11 Joystick [FutureMax Dance Mat] on usb-0000:00:14.0-2.1/input0
[45140.421211] usbcore: registered new interface driver xpad

I also tried using joydev instead of xpad, then it registers on /dev/input/js0

It is being found by all Joystick-Testing-Tools (jstest-gtk being my favourite).

However, it doesn't react to ANY input.

I can press any button, but neither jstest nor cat /dev/input/js0 or evtest show any reaction to the mat.

Other joysticks work fine.

Any idea how I can get that to work?
