I'm a bit confused by wiki https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ne … eue_length

Does the rule under "Set device MTU and queue length" set the length for wireless devices only?

The rule as it is shown in that section? Yes, I believe so, since it will match "wl*" only. If you wanted to change MTU for wired connections, you will have to use a different match rule.
