[SOLVED] Gnome doesn't work after switching from nvidia to nouveau

Hello!

So I decided to install nouveau rather than the Nvidia proprietary driver, but after getting nouveau to work Gnome no longer wants to launch. I have exec gnome-session in ~/.xinitrc and when I run startx Gnome says something along the lines of:

Oh no! Something has gone wrong!

Note that i3wm still works for some reason.

I fixed the problem by installing mesa-libgl and lib32-mesa-libgl (I had to replace the nvidia versions of those libraries).
