When I launch certain Gnome applications, such as gnome-theme-manager, a small window - apparently a warning about something - flashes very briefly before the application starts. And when I say "briefly", I mean that it's visible for such a short time that I can barely make out what might be the word "Warning", and none of the text within the window. What's more, these windows never appear when launching said applications from a terminal, and no unusual console output is generated. Does anyone here know what's responsible for these ridiculously short-lived messages?

When I used to use gnome it would spit a bunch of crap to the console constantly during runtime. You could check that and see if anything appears. I'm not sure beyond that, sorry!

If it is th same thats happening to me, it isn't a warning is just that the app tries to open in front of lets say firefox if you are using it, but it goes to the behind of firefox fast so what you are typing or doing does not get interrupted.
