Hello, I am getting a second GTX-970 with a i7-4790K which supports VT-d unlike my i5-4670k so im going to try to get gpu passthrough working with kvm. So I know you need some kind of graphics device left for your host and i was wondering if my integrated graphics would be ok so I could dedicate the gpu(s) for passthrough and lets say I got this working, would I just treat sli setup in the kvm the same as if it were on the bare metal?Thank you for your time... :^)

The integrated graphics is ok for the host.
No clue about sli passthrough , but you may find something here : http://vfio.blogspot.com/
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky

To be able to do SLI you need a chipset that supports it. QEMU sadly does not implement a chipset that has support for SLI.
At this point in time QEMU only has the the Q35 and I440FX chipset and these do not have SLI support.
QEMU would need to implement a chipset that does such as Intel's Z and X chipsets (or a nForce chipset I guess... but who the hell wants that
).
/Apologies if this is regarded as a necro bump but imo it adds useful information to the question that will be valid for quite a while into the future.
