ATI Radeon HD7850 Driver

Hi,

I wan to know what is the best way to install the driver for my graphic card?

1) Take the driver from: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/d … nux+x86_64
2) Take this one: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/catalyst/

Could you give me a tipp?
Must I uninstall the xf86-video-amdgpu driver first + restart + then install one of the top driver?

Thanks

On Arch Linux, always install using pacman.

You can choose 2 drivers for your card, opensource or proprietary. Check radeon and catalyst wiki pages.

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky

Re: ATI Radeon HD7850 Driver

I have few radeon 7950, I used opensource driver, xf86-video-ati, together with compton produce a no tearing screen. I tried to install amd radeon driver but no success. On xfce enviroment.
I have nvidia GTX-660ti, got the nvdidia driver work, compton also. But screen is tearing, I can't fix it.
