When running `pacman -Syu` today, pacman warned me about a circular dependency:
libffado will be installed before its jack2-dbus dependency
Is this something I need to worry about (i.e. file a bug report) or is this a
true circular dependency and I'll be fine if I ignore it?

It's nothing to worry about. Usually pacman just installs the dependencies before the package that depends on it, but in case of a circular dependencies, it has to break that rule to avoid turning in circles infinitely. But nothing will break because of that.
More generally, though, circular dependencies are not very elegant; they get a mention in the weekly automated integrity checks next to missing dependencies and missing makedepends.
