Hi All
Looking for some help and I am sure this is probably quite simple to achieve but I am struggling a bit so any help would be great....
It seems the following AUR packages compile against the old C++ ABI, even when removing and re-downloading/building:
kodi-platform-git
kodi-addon-pvr-hts
Since loads of Arch packages (including Kodi) now are compiled against the new C++ ABI using the two above addons causes Kodi to core-dump on exit.
The maintainers for these packages on the AUR have not fixed them yet and my media centres broken so I am trying to work out how to fix these myself. How do I modify the builds of these packages to force them to compile against the new ABI?
Cheers...!!
Rich
Also I know they are using the old ABI thanks to the script in the news section

No, you don't.

If you've rebuilt them they will be using the new API.

Is your system up-to-date? Post the backtrace from one of the dumps.
Mod note: moving to AUR issues.

Apologies... yep you were right it is unrelated.
The knowledge about the script just pointing out which packages need rebuilding (regardless if they have already been rebuilt or not) is useful! As I did not know that...
Just in case others end up here, my issue was the aerial. This caused some issues with tvheadend which went on to make the kodi plugin screw up kodi nicely. But all its good now. ![]()
