After updating from libcroco-06.9-1 to 06.10-1 I just get a black screen for Cinnamon. Everything works fine once I reverted back to the previous package.
I'm starting Cinnamon from Lightdm with the lightdm-webkit-theme-antergos. In journalctl I don't have any errors, and systemctl doesn't show any failed packages.
Should I just put libcroco on the ignore list? Is there anything else I could do to get the new version working?

I did a system update today. Libcroco was among the updated packages and now I'm having the same problems you described, except that I'm using gnome 3. Not sure what to do. maybe downgrade it?

That's what I did. There's a Cinnamon update that just came out. Don't know if it needs the new libcroco.

Theme issue?

Yeah, think it's the theme. I let the maintainer of the Windows 10 theme know. Do you know what he should look to change?

same issue here using vertex theme.. can't see any errors in logs.

I don't think it's a single theme issue. I'm using numix theme in Gnome 3, and had to downgrade libcroco too.

newest libcroco breaks gnome-shell themes based on old css files.. it works correctly with new .scss themes

Doesn't Vertex already use .scss files? Why isn't it working for you either then?

correct.. vertex uses .scss files but I also use a .css override file to change font-family.. so it was not working

So for a project to maintain compatibility with previous versions, are both file formats needed? I'm guessing a .scss file couldn't reference a .css file either.
Updated the Windows10 theme to use scss files. I can get into the desktop, but the taskbars are the default Cinnamon style. Everything else is as it should be. Know if there's any common files with themes, in need of change to keep the theme working correctly, outside of css files?
