gcc 4.0.3 replace for 3.4.6

Not to much to say...
Is that possible?

My story is long and sad, but in few words, I installed my nvidia drivers with 3.4, they worked fine, and the I upgraded to 4.0, Xorg cant load neither "nvidia" or "glx". Then I download gcc 3.4.6, compile it and install it. Now I got the 2 gcc's but still cant make  Xorg start normaly.  Yes, Ive looked around and tryed all those commands, but please, throw any help you have on your pocket.

Thanks.

Arch has official nvidia packages, you know. Have you tried those?

If you had successeful installed drivers you should remove all gccs and then you should upgrade to current - you shouldn't have problems.

Re: gcc 4.0.3 replace for 3.4.6

tomk: yes, I've tried those. When I downloaded the official installer was because the ones in the respositories were needing a patch to work with the 2.6.16.x kernels.

Insane-Boy: The problems is that I had uninstalled the drivers. What would be great is to know two things:

If it is possible to uninstall the 3.4.6 gcc that I installed normally.

And if there is some Pacman repository with it.
