Slow gnome-shell animations and window dragging

Hello,

I have an issue with the gnome shell performance and it's really annoying sad.
The animations (expose feature) and dragging windows are laggy for a 10 second period and then work normal (fluid) for 10 seconds.
This happens repeatedly in 10 seconds intervals. But this does not only happen only on gnome. I've tried enlightenment, cinnamon and gnome-wayland and they have the same issue.
Only the xfce environment works nicely but I have other (performance-unrelated) issues with it.

I'm using nouveau (gtx770) with kernel 4.4-rc5, but I doubt it's a problem with the kernel since I have this issue for more than a year.

I'll post a video of the issue when I get home.

Did anybody else experienced this?

Re: Slow gnome-shell animations and window dragging

OK, this seems to be problem with dual monitors. When I switch off the second monitor the gnome is working perfectly...

The monitors don't have the same resolution and refresh states so this could be the problem here..
