Like the title, kmail 5.1 (the last one from extra) is not really closing, it stays in memory and has to be killed. Before it was segfaulting, now is in a dancing limbo.
Sometimes I see also file.so process of kmail and also that process had to be killed. Someone else had this kind of problems? System is up to date.

How are you closing kmail? Are you sure it's not hidden in the system tray?
Offline
Yes, file --> quit kmail disappear from systray also but it is still there in memory in system activities.

The process is /usr/bin/kmail -qwindowtitle kmail

and by the way if I launch a new kmail the old one stuck in memory crash instantly and the new one appear and so on.

Hey berny99
I have the same problem now.
Kmail dos not quit properly and on restart the old Kmail process segfaults.
Did you find a solution by any chance?

Hi Gosi,
no chance man :-) May be next release of kde and kmail will fix it.

Thanks berny99
I just want to add, that it also crashes on first start after logout - login, if it was previously running (there is no kmail process running in this case).

Hi again,
I found the reason and a workaround for this problem.
You have to disable "empty local trash folder on program exit".

Thanks Gosi!
Yes, you are very right and by the way the trash was not getting cleaned anyway. I think this could be some sort of bug that when kmail try to clean the trash on exit it get stuck there forever in a deadlock.
Cheers.
