in my arch64 (kde plasma5 upgraded) I view this problem:
in akregaror I have this messages:
...
log_akregator: Couldn't reach favicon service. Request favicon for QUrl("http://www.linuxjournal.com/") failed

...
and I dont view that favicons
I note that "kde-service favicon" is not running:

kdebase-lib 15.12.0-1

Known issue, the favicon service is in kdebase-lib, which is not ported to KF5 yet
