cougar 700k keyboard locks

I have a cougar 700k keyboard. When I press one of the non-standard keys (G1 - G6) or the FN key, the keyboard locks up and I have to unplug it from the usb port, then plug it back it for it to work. Any ideas?

Maybe it's too late, but these keys start to work as expected after I've assigned combinations for them in UIX System in Windows through vm (guess you can just connect keyboard to windows pc, I don't have one)
No more locks
