iinet mirror out of date?

Hi All,

When I installed Arch I chose http://ftp.iinet.net.au/pub/archlinux/$repo/os/$arch as the mirror since they are my ISP, however I haven't had any updates recently, and in looking at the kernel versions it appears that the mirror isn't being updated, e.g. for the kernel:

http://ftp.iinet.net.au/pub/archlinux/core/os/x86_64/ -> linux-4.2.5-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz

http://mirror.rackspace.com/archlinux/core/os/x86_64/ -> linux-4.3.3-2-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz

http://mirror.aarnet.edu.au/pub/archlin … os/x86_64/ -> linux-4.3.3-2-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz

Is this to be expected?  Are there known issues with the iinet mirror? etc.

Thanks,
Alistair

Wow, looking at the last sync time/date, that's one crappy mirror.

Thanks for your reply, I wasn't aware of these pages.

Yep, so...

Switch to the highest ranking Australian mirror, http://mirror.aarnet.edu.au/pub/archlinux/, and the community and extra repo dbs error on download.  Obviously Australian mirrors don't like me, so fall back to the worldwide mirror, http://mirror.rackspace.com/archlinux/

230+ MB later and I'm all up to date.

Thanks again,
Alistair
