Sftp and download a dir

Hii, I love Sftp as a client for ftp, but I don't get it how can I retrive a dir from my ftp server not file by file?

i use lftp and the mirror command - works excellently.  Keeps the forums in shape anyway

I would either use a graphical sftp client such as gftp, or do a recursive copy with scp. This would in effect give you the recursive sftp downloading you're looking for.
