I just installed Arch with enlightenment (I think) and some other packages (since my previous installations didn't work at all) but I get a strange message from pacman.
[SOME JIBBERISH ABOUT THE PACKAGES
ALREADY FOUND IN THE SYSTEM]
errors ocurred: no packages were installed

If those messages were refering to files already existing in the hard drive, do pacman -Qo /path/to/file. If pacman returns no package owns it, its safe to force (-f) otherwise post those results here.

Well it didn't find it but the force option worked nice. However I can't launch the program installed. Does it have anything to do with my PATH variable? If so, does "man -k"/"apropos" also depend on PATH? Because I can't find anything at all with that command.

try doing
source /etc/profile.d/*
or logout and in again.

It only spits: "Server not found" over the whole screen. I'll try rebooting it. However, something must be wrong. Do i really have to force every pacman to make it work?

No you should not have to force pacman everytime -it should be a rare occurance. As for your other problem it would help to know what package you are talking about to be able to help.
