Question about Arch on Core i3 chromebooks

I was thinking about buying an i3 Chromebook to remove ChromeOS and install Arch. Currently I own a Samsung Series 3 ARM Chromebook and I'm overall happy with it, but I'm tired of wasting time hacking the device each time I "pacman -Syu" because of the blobs that prevent the device using a mainline kernel, causing systemd to break because of the old kernel, etc. So this time I'm going for an i3 CPU.

Currently I was evaluating Acer C720 and Dell Chromebook 11 (the versions with 4 GiB RAM and a Core i3 CPU) and wanted to know how Arch runs on these devices, and how good their hardware support is. I have seen there is a page on the wiki for both devices, but as there are several laptops with the same name (Acer C720/Dell Chromebook 11) with different CPU and peripherals configuration, I'm wondering if the information displayed on the wiki will apply to the i3 versions of these machines, or I will have problems not shown there.

Any recommendations/suggestions?

Re: Question about Arch on Core i3 chromebooks

I have been googling a bit, and it looks like these i3-equipped chromebooks are not distributed in Europe (at least not in Spain) sad.
