gensplash - no image on tty2

I've just installed beyond and gensplash, but there is no image from gensplash on tty2 (aka vc/2) and it does works on the others.
I have checked /etc/conf.d/gensplash, and in my eyes it looks correct:

# on which ttys should fbsplash be enabled? defaults to RC_TTY_NUMBER
SPLASH_TTYS="1 2 3 4 5 6"

Ideas?

Same problem here. I don't have a splash @ any console except tty1. When I restart gensplash I have backgrounds in every console except tty2. gensplash in in my Daemons Array.

edit:
They seem to disappear when I switch to them from X. So when I switch from X to tty4, tty will disappear. If, after that, I switch back to X and then to tty3, tty3 and tty4 are gone. Background on tty2 never shows up. Background on tty1 never disappears.

Did you tried setting
CONSOLEFONT=default8x16.psfu.gz
in rc.conf?

I do however not understand how font can affect that :?

According to the wiki:

it seems like an upstream bug. I can't explain either how it fix that problem.

I use:
CONSOLEFONT=cp850-8x16.psfu.gz

And gensplash work for me with no problems.

I think it is something to do with getty. I think the font change "refreshes" getty, prompting the showage of gensplash...
