Hello my friends,
I want to run Arch Linux on an old EeePC 1015PN. This EeePC comes with a dedicated graphic card (nVidia ION). The problem is that this old system use a multiplexer to handle the activation/deactivation of graphic cards.
1st mode: only intel gpu
2nd mode: only nVidia gpu
3rd mode: both (optimus mode)
But my netbook starts every time only with the nVidia card (2nd mode). The intel gpu is disabled at hardware level.
I have installed nouveau, xf86-video-intel, bbswitch, acpi, acpi_call, bumblebee, mesa and mesa-libgl.
If the intel gpu is inactive and only the nVidia is active (2nd mode), systemctl status tells me that the start of bumblebee failed.
If I make an "echo '\OSGS 3' > /proc/acpi/call" as here described and reboot then both graphic cards are active. Systemctl status tells me now that bumblebee starts correctly.
But at every reboot the netbooks starts in 2nd mode … . I want to save the last used mode by an elegant solution.
Another question is how do I installed the nvidia driver instead of the nouveau driver?
Thanks for help!

Not an installation issue, moving to "Laptop Issues".
