When I run 'pacman -Syu' the synchronization with the server's package database is delayed. It will be 2 or 3 hours after a new package is released before my system sees a change in the repository, and gets a new repository database file. I am using the ftp.archlinux.org mirror for both the current and extra repositories. Does anybody else have this problem, and if so, have you found a way to fix it?

Strange I thought archlinux.org is the root for all?
I would like to know if it is possible to speed up those s2s sychronizations because I tried many servers in Europe and all of them don't have the new amarok 1.4. amarok 1.4 is in repo since yesterday.
I used the mirror in vienna for some time but now I don't want to accept DAYS of delay anymore.
I think I'm not the only one and the load on the other server is for sure higher because of this.
No solution?

The U.S. mirrors haven't sync'd for the last 2-3 days. There must be something wrong.

Ah and I was wondering to have no new packages for the last 3 days... lol
but nevermind, as long as the system is running, what do i need more?

Is it happening again right now ?
Quis custodiet ipsos custodiet?

No, I'm having no problems. I found out that it was due to the fact that the packages aren't always up on the repository when they're listed on the site.
