I have a fairly recent install of Arch and I'm running Gnome desktop 3 with SLIM
I have a strange issue where my custom keyboard shortcuts (defined through the gui) take about 20 seconds
before they do anything. for example:
if I press Alt + F2 and enter "urxvt" into the run prompt, I get a terminal immediately
However, I also have Ctrl + T defined in the Keyboard shortcuts through the GUI settings as "urxvt"
If I press this key combination, I have to wait about 20 seconds or so of the computer idling, no stalling or anything, it just
seems like NoOps, then the terminal finally appears.
I've tried this with other things such as gnome-terminal, firefox, vlc, even nautilus.
I've also tried these with various types of shortcuts (using Ctrl, using Alt, Using Shift, or not using those)
Everything I've tried via the keyboard shortcut has an ungodly delay before it comes up.
Any thoughts on why this might be?
Thanks for the input,
~Zatael

I have similar issues (Arch 4.8.13-1-ARCH, gnome-shell 3.22.2+18+gdf7727a-1) -- on many occasions, pressing key combinations (e.g. CTRL+ALT+T for terminal) or special keyboard keys (e.g. volume up/down) get "stuck" for as much as half of a minute, after which all the "queued" commands start executing at once. It is pretty annoying and I am not sure where to start on this one; any suggestion is welcome.
