Intel NUC temperature

nuc:~$ find /sys/class/thermal
/sys/class/thermal
/sys/class/thermal/cooling_device0
nuc:~$ uname -a
Linux nuc 4.3.3-3-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Wed Jan 20 08:12:23 CET 2016 x86_64 GNU/Linux

My Intel NUC home server box NUC5CPYH doesn't seem to have a /sys/class/thermal/thermal_zone0/temp interface for checking the temperature.

I did install lm_sensors and this is my output:

nuc:~$ sensors
coretemp-isa-0000
Adapter: ISA adapter
Core 0: +40.0°C (high = +90.0°C, crit = +90.0°C)
Core 2: +46.0°C (high = +90.0°C, crit = +90.0°C)

Isn't ISA like a long dead legacy bus? Is this the right way? Am I missing something?

Re: Intel NUC temperature

This sensor is integrated in the CPU and only pretending to be an ISA device.

And ISA is alive and doing well, see "LPC bus" and "Super IO". BTW, the Super IO is likely to contain more sensors - read wiki wink
