Slow activation of USB speaker

I have a Phoenix TMX320VC5509 USB speaker/microphone. When I plug it all the sound on my system seems to freeze for about 20 seconds, then it works normally. For example, starting a test call with Skype takes about 20 seconds each time, after which the sound is correctly played from the USB speaker; to me, it looks like the activation of the speaker is being delayed by something. I don't know what might be useful to track down the issue, but when I plug the speaker I get these errors in joutrnalctl:

feb 05 16:51:14 elric kernel: usb 6-1: new full-speed USB device number 40 using uhci_hcd
feb 05 16:51:35 elric kernel: usb 6-1: 2:1: cannot get freq at ep 0x85
feb 05 16:51:40 elric kernel: usb 6-1: 1:1: cannot get freq at ep 0x2
feb 05 16:51:45 elric kernel: usb 6-1: 1:1: cannot get freq at ep 0x2

I am using pulseaudio in a Plasma 5 desktop environment.
Thanks to anybody who can give me a hint about how to fix this.

Re: Slow activation of USB speaker

Thank you very much, the fix works also for me with linux-ck 4.4.6. Let's hope it will be mainlined soon.
