Hello,
I have upgraded to linux 4.4, where my dmraid lvm setup on a Thinkpad W520 broke.
When booting, the system will drop to boot console after trying to find the dmraid device. An error in isw is shown. My setup works perfectly fine in 4.3. What has changed in 4.4?

I guess it's time to migrate to mdadm.
It wasn't working with isw format in 2012, but I'll give it another try

I am currently using 4.1 lts, which works fine with isw. Only 4.4 complains about missing raid devices, which hinders boot on raid 0.
Just interested where the bug is located. Otherwise I'll sit it out on lts for a while.

But whether the Constitution really be one thing, or another, this much is certain - that it has either authorized such a government as we have had, or has been powerless to prevent it. In either case, it is unfit to exist.

Seems like I am unable to read wiki pages. I thought mdadm was only for software raid not fake raids. Switched to mdadm (which only involved changing fstab and mdadm.conf) and everything worked, even lvm. Seems like the case is now closed.
