Hey there,
sometimes my Arch will completely freeze (and only a hard reset can fix that) when copying files to some USB sticks.
My 3TB USB 3.0 HD works fine but USB sticks or smart-card-readers via USB will freeze the system completely.
Which logs can I post ? Thanks !

How do you mount your drives? And how do you access the files?

I am on gnome with nemo so gvfs is mounting it I guess?
I access them via nemo.

Boot into a single user mode (I hope that's what it is called) and try to replicate the same problem but using only the command line tools (mount, cp, rsync). Then it should be clear if the problem is in the kernel or in your DE and GUI tools.

Sounds like a good idea but how to boot there?
