Hi all,
I have a lap-top with Nvidia GTX 950M.
I'm trying to make the Optimus thing work but I am failing so far, just want to know if the problem is with the existing drivers or I am doing something wrong.
When I try using xf86-video-intel and xf86-video-nouveau, the nouveau fails to load X. But X loads on the Intel card.
journalctl -b
keeps dupming this:
nouveau 0000:01:00.0: priv: HUB0: 10ecc0 ffffffff
In X
xrandr --listproviders
shows only the Intel card.
I've also tried with the nvidia proprietary driver but it fails to load X completely.
If somebody has managed to make these type of cards run please help. Thank you very much in advance. I've been fighting with this for some days now...

Hi
You need to install bumblebee to use the optimus tecnology in applications.
I recommend to read this help relationated with the error of nouveau you have :

Thanks alot ! I was hoping that I don't have to recompile the kernel ... I'll give it a go and if it runs I'll post the solution in case somebody else is having similar issue,

Uninstall this and install bumblebee..i have the exactly same card in my new laptop you will have to run the command
vblank_mode=0 optirun -b primus [program]
to have the full use of your card (for now). It is still very buggy in games the optimus tech. Lets hope something will change for the better.
