Support for a.out binaries & advice to fix AUR packages...

Hello,

Not sure where to post this request. Please redirect me to the right place if I am mistaken.

I have one closed-source program that I need to run and which is an old a.out binary program. (please do not ask why, I really have no choice for the moment... the only other solution would be to recode this tool, which is not difficult, but this is a fairly big project and I have not time for that at the moment)

Since the support of a.out binaries have been removed from the archlinux kernel a few months (years?) ago, I asked for help at that time and thanks to some people, I packaged two AUR packages: binfmt_aout and ia32_aout.
I think something is not made correctly in these package because when I want to install them, I get a warning about "/lib" directory. In the past, I used to ignore this warning and simply forced the installation, but with the current arch, it does not seem to work anymore. (I broke one of my arch installation).
Can someone please advise me on how to fix these two packages? What is the right way to ship a kernel module in an AUR package? (I also have to recompile it manually at each kernel update, which is a bit annoying).

Many thanks for your help,

Cheers,

Seb

Simple, don't put files in /lib.

It's /usr/lib/modules now.

Yeah, that's not a good idea, don't do that.

Mod note: Not a kernel issue, moving to creating & modifying packages.
