Disable Touchpad on external monitor [solved]

I am running a second monitor using intel-virtual-output. My laptop has an integrated intel gpu and a dedicated nvidia gpu, to which all display connections are wired. When disabling the touchpad I noticed, that the touchpad remains active on the second screen.
I have already tried using xinput and synclient commands. I suspect that the settings arent carried over to the second x server on the nvidia gpu. Is there any way to explicitly use synclient or xinput on the second x server?

Edit: Just solved it after posting. I am stupid.

DISPLAY=:8 xinput set-prop TOUCHPAD_ID "Device Enabled" 0

This should disable touchpad on external displays
