I'm trying to get rid of the following error message from my logs:
/usr/lib/gdm/gdm-wayland-session[1065]: (gnome-settings-daemon:1925): color-plugin-WARNING **: failed to set screen _ICC_PROFILE: Otwarcie pliku „/home/mmarzantowicz/.local/share/icc/edid-d8cb92e4fef2fa9cbbc1d5a19407ed3b.icc” się nie powiodło: Brak dostępu
Please excuse me that some parts are in my native language but prepending journalctl command with LANG=C doesn't seem to solve this issue. It states that it failed to open mentioned ICC file because access was denied.
This message is generated on each user log in as well as when clicking on color profile in GNOME settings applet.
Both gdm-wayland-session PID 1065 and gnome-settings-daemon PID 1925 are owned by gdm user so it's not a surprise they can't read files from my home directory. Is it a bug in GNOME or some kind of misconfiguration?
I also figured out that there is a gdm owned file in /var/lib/gdm/.local/share/icc/edid-d8cb92e4fef2fa9cbbc1d5a19407ed3b.icc which is identical to one under users home directory.

Try with LC_ALL=C

Nothing changed. Looks like some messages are logged in language set in my locale.

Interesting. As for the main problem, sorry I don't have anything to add.

So, the bug is known and already reported upstream (https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=749338) for gnome-settings-daemon 3.16.x (it still happens on 3.18.2).
It looks like it's yet another GNOME bug that will never be fixed or at lasted dropped with some reasonable "f* off" message.
