Wifi adapt not being detected by NetworkManager, boot log shows errors

Hi guys, relatively new user here. I switched over from Ubuntu 14.04 for my desktop after doing exactly that worked wonderfully well on my laptop two months ago. My desktop has a Asus Z97-PRO(Wi-Fi ac) motherboard, which includes ac wifi and a wired network interface. The wired interface works properly, but the wifi does not show up anywhere.

When running mkinitcpio, I have no missing firmware, and currently my clues are two errors in the boot logs:

Feb 20 14:10:15 dione kernel: bcma-pci-bridge 0000:05:00.0: enabling device (0000 -> 0002)

Feb 20 14:10:15 dione kernel: bcma: bus0: No SPROM available

which is followed by

Feb 20 14:10:15 dione kernel: b43-phy0: Broadcom 4352 WLAN found (core revision 42)
Feb 20 14:10:15 dione kernel: b43-phy0 ERROR: FOUND UNSUPPORTED PHY (Analog 12, Type 11 (AC), Revision 1)
Feb 20 14:10:15 dione kernel: b43: probe of bcma0:1 failed with error -95
Feb 20 14:10:15 dione kernel: Broadcom 43xx driver loaded [ Features: PNLS ]

.

My Google-fu has failed me, unfortunately. Does anyone have a clue in which direction I should look?
