Hi,
I just installed arch on monday, running the most recent everything and a lot of the default settings.
The font in the start menu doesn't render correctly, it has black boxes where the font should be.
If I click somewhere else in the start menu it seems to work again though.
Not sure if this is a driver issue or a KDE/font issue. This is the only place I've seen this, all other font on my system renders correctly, so I'm inclined to think it's a KDE issue.

I have a laptop with i7 4710HQ, 8GB ram, Nvidia 850M.
I'm running the most recent nvidia drivers (361.28, no bumblebee).

I think I solved it.
I increased the smallest font size on the system by 1, and now it doesn't seem to happen anymore. Must've been a DPI issue.

Glad that you solved it. I have changed the image posted by you to a link. Please go through: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Fo … s_and_code
Also, mark your thread as solved by editing the title and prepending [solved] to it.

Happens here too in a systemd container (i periodically try plasma5 that way so that i can keep kde4 installed and test video acceleration/drivers issues) , dpi set to standard 96.
Do you suggest me to try 97?
