[Solved] sudo systemctl enable dkms Failed to execute operation:...

subj

Followed by Wiki
Install the dkms package.
Enable the dkms systemd service to have DKMS modules rebuilt automatically upon reboot after a kernel upgrade.

sudo pacman -S dkms
sudo systemctl enable dkms
Failed to execute operation: No such file or directory

ls /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/
netctl@net0.service  ntpdate.service  remote-fs.target  vboxadd.service  vboxadd-service.service  vboxadd-x11.service

Any suggestions?

Sounds like the wiki is out of date. The dkms package doesn't use systemd anymore, it uses pacman/alpm hooks.

Other words, after below

DKMS: install completed.
************************************************************
Remember to enable DKMS at boot with "systemctl enable dkms"
************************************************************
:: Running post-transaction hooks...
(1/1) Install DKMS modules
Module rt3290/2.6.0.0rev1 already installed on kernel 4.4.1-2-ARCH/x86_64

There's no need to do this notification anymore?

What version are you on? Where did that message come from?

Version of what?
I try to install rt3290sta-dkms.
dkms from repo. https://www.archlinux.org/packages/extra/any/dkms/
rt3290sta-dkms from AUR. https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/rt3290sta-dkms

Ah, the notification came from the AUR package. Yeah, that needs to be removed.

Ok. Who will send a message of this to maintainer?

Well, given it is an AUR package and you are wanting to use it, I don't see any other suitable candidates...
