Hi all. Is there any way to burn an audio cd with command line tools that will then show the proper metadata (for example in Windows Media Player), like track title, album artist and so on? I am using
cdrecord -v -pad speed=1 dev=/dev/sr0 -dao -swab *.wav
which works great for burning, but I've read WAV tracks can't store metadata. CD-Text sounds like it might be what I need but I don't know what command line tools or options exist for this. I've seen other options for burning on the Optical disk drive wiki page, and perhaps one (burning using a .cue file?) will give me what I need but I don't know if this is true ... help.

look, first google result: http://apocalyptech.com/linux/cdtext/
if you are ok with a gui, there is gcdmaster, which has a toc editor

He hoped and prayed that there wasn't an afterlife. Then he realized there was a contradiction involved here and merely hoped that there wasn't an afterlife.

I did see that post/result already, so cdrdao is the only way to do it? How compatible or widespread is CD-Text in cd players? I've never worked with TOC files before either but that would give the same results?
