Arch moving to DKMS?

I just noticed that virtualbox modules use DKMS now by default.
My question is whether Archlinux intends to move to DKMS by default?
I guess this would simplify things for maintainers.
Is the nvidia module going to have a dkms only version?

Cheers

Re: Arch moving to DKMS?

Arch already has a dkms package for nvidia, and has done for a while: https://www.archlinux.org/packages/extr … idia-dkms/

I don't think the binary packages are going away though. I guess it depends on the maintainers preference?

Mod note: Moving to Arch Discussion.
