I am trying to connect my new Brother DS-620. Installed sane and Brother Drivers as posted on the post.
When I connect my scanner it shows up as a Disk /dev/sdc
lsscsi shows:

1) Use code tags.
2) In the other thread it was recognized as a storage device also. To see the scsi generic node, run lsscsi -g . If you need to reference the scsi generic node in a command, it will probably be necessary to load 'sg' module.
But whether the Constitution really be one thing, or another, this much is certain - that it has either authorized such a government as we have had, or has been powerless to prevent it. In either case, it is unfit to exist.

Yes. That was the issue. 'sg' module was not loaded. Loading the module showed the scanner as a scsi generic device and I can scan now.
Thanks !!

Please, as alphaniner asked, use code tags: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Fo … s_and_code
And remember to mark your thread as [Solved] by editing your first post and prepending it to the title.
