Why doesn't tp_smapi need to be rebuilt for linux-zen?

acpi_call needed to, why not tp_smapi? I've switched to DKMS, should I install tp_smapi-dkms even though it works?

While I don't have a definitive answer, it might be time to familiarize yourself with reading diffs of PKGBUILD's.

Two easy explanations: Either does zen nothing different in regards to tp_smapi, or you actually need to recompile it, but have not run into an error yet for some reason.
