And it becomes disabled quickly after so maybe some sort of process that disables them...
its not that simple to reenable or easy to..
sudo showkey --keycodesthen using this use esc and alt to reenable left alt
then with the right alt i have to scramble bit more keys maybe something with the scroll lock... have to pinpoint more.
Not too sure. I typically use a few custom key files that are just suppose to make caps lock ctrl in
a custom.map file and an xmodmap one for X11.

Ok so I narrowed it down so far to when switching xterm in X11 the alt keys would be in "scroll lock"
So hitting scrolllock then alt releases them. And that would be for only the start up xterms. any new xterm that is spawned does not do this (so far)
???? Maybe xinitrc..

This is a usb cord issue... The scrolllocking single keys threw me off about that. ![]()
Not sure how to usb cord ended up this way its like someone tried ripping them apart and failed.
