black screen, mouse only moves vertically after login

after the last reboot i can’t log into a working plasma desktop anymore.

the screen is black and only shows my mouse cursor at the left border, only able to be moved vertically. after manually starting plasmashell from a tty, i can see some autostart window sometimes (e.g. firefox) but not interact.

the last update before included all the KDE stuff from 15.12.2 → 15.12.3, apart from that libinput, aria2, perf, some python stuff

i hope someone can help
