weird firefox behaviour with vpn

Maybe a dumb question but I'm out of ideas.

I'm running a vpn and while chromium operates flawlessly, Firefox does this thing on where it stops loading many sites after getting to around 50%.

jwm + connman + openvpn + firefox

Thanks in advance for any tips.

Re: weird firefox behaviour with vpn

OK I narrowed it down the problem, I think.

When I use tcp to connect to openvpn the problem is gone. So the problem is using firefox over a UDP vpn tunnel.

Is there a kernel/something bug for openvpn over udp by any chance that I don't know about?
