libdbus problem

Hi all,

I recently reboot and box and have been having the problem since. Basically libdbus.so.1 can't be found.

I use Terminal and whenever I try to start it, I got:

Terminal: error while loading shared libraries: libdbus-glib-1.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory.

ldconfig -v | grep dbus output:

libecore_dbus.so.1 -> libecore_dbus.so.1.0.0
    libdbus-1.so.2 -> libdbus-1.so.2.0.0
    libdbus-qt-1.so.1 -> libdbus-qt-1.so.1.0.0
    libdbus-glib-1.so.2 -> libdbus-glib-1.so.2.0.0

Was there change to the dbus package and my Termianl package is too old?

Thanks,

Re: libdbus problem

Yeah, Terminal is already flagged out-of-date. You could grab the PKGBUILD from CVS or ABS and rebuild it yourself, if you don't want to wait for the official package. Or, if you want a very quick but very dirty possible fix, you could create libdbus-glib-1.so.1 as a symlink to libdbus-glib-1.so.2.0.0 - it might or might not work.

Re: libdbus problem

Thanks,

I think I will take this chance and try shadow hand's xfce-svn. Hopefully that will solve the problem.
