FireFox trobule after doing pacman -Suy

Hii I have done today pacman to get some new things like all the new X stuff, and now when trying to run firefox I get this erorr

 The program 'Gecko' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadRequest (invalid request code or no such operation)'.
  (Details: serial 773 error_code 1 request_code 155 minor_code 2)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
   that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
   To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
   option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
   backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)

Can someone help me here please?
I even remove it with pacman -R and then install it again.  :?

I'm getting similar errors with rox, gaim, gmrun and pretty much any GTK app.

So, maybe some new packages screw things up?
How can we fix it?

Just noticed there are some other threads about this same problem.  In this thread, JGC suggests downgrading libxfixes.  Unfortunately, I cleared out my pacman cache a couple days ago, so I don't have the file to downgrade and test it out.

Upgrade to this: ftp://ftp.archlinux.org/0.8/os/i686/lib … pkg.tar.gz

And stuff should work again.
